Worlds MOST Sweat Proof Headphones!

0

I've gone through about 15 different pairs
of Bluetooth headphones in the time since smartphones and Bluetooth started being a
thing, and not all of the headphones are winners. I normally wear Bluetooth headphones when
I'm at the gym or when I'm running. I have run a couple marathons in the past. So I go through Bluetooth headphones fairly
quickly.

When I'm purchasing a pair of Bluetooth headphones
I look for two things: one is sound quality, obviously, and durability...If it can survive
my workouts and long runs. Sweat is probably one of the worst enemies
of electronics, not just because it's liquid, it's also salty, which is extra corrosive
to the fragile internal circuits. And headphones that stop working are the worst
kind of headphones. Anker reached out with two of their brand
new sound core headphones for me to try out, saying these things are sweat-proof They have
700 headphones to give away to you guys, along with 10,000 discount codes.

So stick around to the end of the video for
that information. The best way headphones can truly be sweat-proof
is with a coating applied directly to the circuit boards. With the right coating, it should be able
to survive all kinds of liquids like soda, sweat, water. And if that coating exists, it would definitely
support Anker's claim that these are the world's most sweat proof headphones.

The only way to check out for sure, is from
the inside. Let's get started. [Intro] So I've had both of these headphones for about
2 weeks now. Anker says these are the world's most sweat
proof headphones.

It's a pretty bold claim considering how inexpensive
they are. The SoundCore Spirit is over here, and then
we have the SoundCore Spirit X's over here. The X's have that little ring around the back
so it wraps around your ear. The Spirit headphones are just the buds, a
long strap, and magnets on the ends to keep them from dangling around.

They come with additional earbuds for different
sized ears, but I just use the standard ones and they stayed in just fine. The over-ear Spirit X headphones wrap around
your ear for the more heavy exercises like sprinting. But the ear wrap around part is super soft,
and I've worn them for a few hours at a time with no problem. The SoundCore Spirits are the smaller, round,
in-ear headphones with little bits of rubber that conform to the insides of your ear.

Taking this review to the inside, we find
some sealed plastic, which is good for water-proofing. And then we see the internal rechargeable
battery. Taking special care not to puncture the little
guy, I'll slice through the outer plastics to reveal the blue 50 or 60 milliamp hour
(it's kind of hard to tell at this point) battery tucked up inside. So we've seen the earpiece plastics are sweat-proof,
let's jump down to the control circuit.

The micro USB charging flap is to help keep
liquid and dust out. Peeling off the rubberish buttons that are
sealed to the controller, we finally expose the circuit board and immediately see there
is a coating on top of the board. The whole thing shines uniformly across the
surface. When I jump in with a drop of water though,
we see it's not hydrophobic.

The water still clings to the board. Anker calls their coating a SweatGuard technology
a multilayered nano-coating spray that keeps the metal contacts from corroding or
shorting out when liquid is present. It resists both sweat and sea water at the
same time. Pretty cool stuff.

I'll pop out the earpiece speaker before I
move onto the Spirit X's. It's a tiny little guy, completely sealed
inside of the plastic housing. I guess it depends on what kind of exercise
you're going to be doing with these headphones. If you're going to be doing a lot of sprints,
you know, high mobility stuff, the ones that wrap around your ears are obviously going
to stay on better than the ones that just go in your ear.

But I've been able to run normal distances
with these ones just fine. The Spirit X's also have interchangeable rubber
tips depending on the shape of your ear. The speaker housing is plastic and sealed
shut, water tight. But there is a larger speaker inside when
compared to the regular Spirits.

Kind of interesting. Probably just because there's more room. If I take my metal pry tool to the battery
housing, we pop off the Anker logo to find a 90 milliamp battery powering these headphones. And if we slide down to open up the water
tight controller housing, which is rather difficult considering the amount of rubber
and glue holding it all together, we see these headphones have the same impermeable nano-coating
over the circuits.

Still not hydrophobic, but thick enough to
keep liquid, and more importantly sweat, from corroding the internals. Are they really the world's most sweat resistant
headphones? Only time will tell. But it looks like from the teardown, that
there is a coating on the circuit boards and they should be able to hold their own. Unlike my Beats headphones which died 3 times
in one year because they didn't have any coating at all on that circuit board.

For the price, these are pretty incredible. Remember, Anker is giving away 700 of these
headphones and 10,000 discount codes. Pretty sure the giveaway is valid in the UK,
the United States, Germany, and Canada. All the official rules and details will be
in the video description right below this video.

If you have any questions, leave them down
in the comments, and let me know what your current favorite song is. I need some more music options. Thanks a ton for watching, and I will see
you around..

Wearing the $9,000 Rihanna Headphones

0

Wearing the $9000 Rihanna Headphones! This is it. This is the biggest thing Ive
ever unboxed, ever. I didnt know Apple started putting the iPhone 7 in bigger boxes,
but you know what I smell? A giveaway. Hey, whats good guys, Keaton here.

So up until
this video, I have never shopped at Dolce & Gabbana before. Just cuz, I dont know,
its just not really my style, and I just wasnt really in the mood to buy a $600
shirt before this, but I think Ive kind of topped that. So right here in front of
me are the Dolce & Gabbana + Frends collaboration headphones. These go for $9,000, and they
kinda got a lot of hype when Rihanna posted a picture with them, so I was like, hey, why
not, let's check 'em out.

So drop a Like rating on this video if you guys wanna see a full
in-depth review of these headphones. And yeah. Let's check it out. So believe it or not,
my bank actually called me three times after I purchased these headphones, because with
tax and everything up all and in, it's about 9,600 bucks, and the total box size, I don't
even know how big it is, I can tell you it's 11 pounds.

Headphones don't need to be 11
pounds, so future headphone companies, take some notes. And it came in this, kind of,
bigger sized gift box that you would see if you're unwrapping presents on the holidays,
you know, something big and you put clothes in there. So let's go and unbox this. Gotta
be very careful, cuz this box is huge.

It does not need to be this big. It genuinely
does not need to be this big. And inside this box, is another box. We have this letter here,
which I'm guessing is the receipt.

I'm just gonna assume so. And then we have this gem
right here. Of course, you got the nice tissue paper on it. So set this to the side, and
then let's take our severely damaged box, which is unacceptable, by the way.

It's like
broken on eight corners. Literally, literally... Literally, we just done brokeded the box.
So here's the headphone box. It feels really nice.

It feels kinda like a blue jean material.
We got the Dolce & Gabbana + Frends, cuz that's the collaboration. They should've just thrown
Rihanna's name in there, but, she was wearin' 'em. So woah. What did I just get? Got some
free candy.

Love our free candy. Please don't eat this. Do not eat ever. Another language,
whatever.

And then we have a sick carrying case. This feels like a nice velvet. Damn
we got the tag. Reppin' it.

That's sweet. Oh it's so soft, it's like a blanket on the
inside. That is nice. Alright, let's set that to the side.

Take off this. Oh my God. What
did I get. Oh my God.

These feel really heavy, like, insanely heavy. Like, it's a tiara.
Literally, a tiara, or a crown of some sort. They have Swarovski crystals on them. They
have a lambskin lining.

Like, I'm pretty sure this is lambskin right here. It's all metal.
There is not an ounce of plastic on here at all. Woah. Got some manuals here.

Frends.
Good. I don't know how to work a phone, so what does Volume Up do on the iPhone? I can't.
Okay. And then Dolce & Gabbana, do we get a thank you? Do I get a thank you? No thank
you. So I'm gonna call 'em the Rihanna headphones, cuz that's how I got this idea.

They feel
and look insane. We got Swarovski crystals all over. We got some pearls here, pearls
there, pearl everywhere. It's kinda like a tiara, that also can play some music out of,
so clearly an afterthought, in terms of the music.

I'm gonna keep the tags on, cuz I don't
know if I wanna keep these or not, but let's just try these on. Oh, and I'm just a mess
right now. We got the Dolce & Gabbana + Frends branding right there. So let's try these on.
These feel so impractical.

Oh my God, these don't feel comfortable at all. Ugh, like,
do I look pretty at least, like, I don't even know. It doesn't feel that comfortable. They
feel really bulky.

Are these, like, I don't even know if these are on my ears. They better
sound amazing. That, literally, is it. They feel so heavy.

I don't, Rihanna, how did you
do this? How'd you do this? Like, if I move too far forward, like, they're gonna just
fall off my head. So I hope these things look dope on my neck, because I have very low hopes
for them right now. So they better sound amazing for what I paid. Let's give 'em a go.

We're
gonna pull up this new band that I just discovered. They're really trying to get known, so maybe
go and check 'em out after I'm done. But it's Twenty One Pilots, Polarize. Let's hope they
sound good.

Let's hope it sounds so good. Not bad, honestly.  Help me polarize, help
me polarize  Help me down  Those stairs is where I'll be hiding all my problems  Help
me polarize, help me polarize  Help me out  They sound different, I'll say that.
How do these sound? Alright. So basically, how these sound, just right off the bat, these
don't feel like they were $9,000.

They feel like they were $9,000, they don't sound like
they're $9,000. They caught me off guard once I put 'em on my ears, but it's kind of muffled,
and where did all that money go in this purchase? So yeah, that's pretty much it. I definitely
wanna give 'em some more time, and just kinda see if they sound better, and if anyone could
actually live with these. So drop a thumbs up on this video if you guys want me to do
a full review.

And go ahead and get subscribed for more cool stuff like this. Follow me on
Snapchat and Twitter, as I am super active over there. And you're gonna get some bonus
clips of this on Snapchat. So that's pretty much it.

I'll see you guys soon. Peace..

SINGING while wearing NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES

What's up my name is Roomie and welcome to. What? What's? What's happening? Just kidding I have a remote control, today We're going to do something that the gabbie show did first and that is singing with Noise-canceling headphones according to her video. It seems like it really makes you sing a lot worse THE DEATH OF A BACHELOR, OH OH OH [offkey] THE DEATH OF A BACHELOR, OH OH OH This might become that video that gets shared of me where it seems like I suck at singing... Okay lets go! [Beep] I'm in love with the shape of you, push and pull like a magnet do Although my heart is falling too
I'm in love with your body [identical] I'm in love with the shape of you, push and pull like a magnet do [identical] Although my heart is falling too
I'm in love with your body Okay, I just listened back to that and I'm a bit confused I prefer the version with the noise cancelling headphones over the normal one Which is really weird But what I felt when I was singing right now was that I could actually hear myself really well even with the noise cancelling headphones And these bose headphones as opposed to have the best noise Cancelling on the market better than the beats headphones that Gabbie was using in her video at all.

This is a Beats promo Oh, but I don't know maybe that was too quiet singing or something I'm going to try to record something louder but before I do that. I need a sandwich Hahahaha, it was I who ate it mother f***ers 10 out of 10 content a good job Roomie (kids "yay!") So for my next try I'm going to try to sing one of the songs Gabbie sang in her original video and hopefully I'll get similar results to Gabbie this time because I want this to be embarrassing I want this to be a good video, and not just another one of my failed experiments THE DEATH OF A BACHELOR, Oh Oh Oh, Letting the water fall. THE DEATH OF A BACHELOR, Oh Oh Oh, Seems so fitting for... [Identical] THE DEATH OF A BACHELOR, Oh Oh Oh, Letting the water fall.

[Identical] THE DEATH OF A BACHELOR, Oh Oh Oh, Seems so fitting for... Okay, okay, okay. So I think that to take without the noise canceling headphones was a bit better here But it's not a big difference at all. In Gabbie's clips on the other hand the difference is massive It's like she's singing in another key THE DEATH OF A BA....

[Offkey] THE DEATH OF A BA.... To me, this is when Gabbie's video starts seeming too bad to be true TOO BAD TO BE TRUE. Cause Gabbie's actually a good singer just listen to this So let me hold both your hands in the holes of my sweater Someone who is that good at singing being so off-key from just noise cancelling? That seems.. Really weird to me, especially since her headphones have less powerful noise cancelling than these ones And I can hear myself fine with these I did a bit of research and I found out that the sound that comes out of your mouth is it even the only way you hear yourself so even if Noise cancelling was perfect which it isn't which it isn't there's no way it could cancel out the sound of yourself I'll let Hank Green from Scishow explain note that it didn't record this for my video It's from one of theirs when you hear your own voices you talk you're really hearing a couple of different things at once you're hearing The sound that's coming out of your mouth.

Which is being conducted by air and then dragging through your auditory canal That is the sound that noise cancelling headphones handbook outs to some extent but you're also hearing the sound bouncing around inside your own head Which is conducted by your flesh and bones? Directly to your inner ear and that sound will not be affected by the headphones in the same way something else about Gaby's video is That you can see from her body language that she's not actually trying her best. And that's fine if you want to make you funny YouTube video or whatever But she's actually saying this in the beginning of the video. I promise you that when I do this. I'm doing my best.

I'm not trying to be funny And now look at these clips from the video. [Indistinguishable singing] I am TITA-NI-UM[giggle] Now that's a person trying to sing well and not be funny if I ever saw one But I don't know I think I'm gonna have to try the noise canceling headphones one more time and see if I can replicate what gabbie does. But it is getting really sweaty in here. This apartments like a greenhouse or something so let's go for a quick coffee run! [Upbeat Transitional Music] Can I get a small black Americano, please [...Music Continues] What..? If you want I'm Swedish originally Thank you! [Laughs] Okay, so I'm back with some caffeine in my system to get my drugs.

For this song I'm gonna sing even louder and rockier to really push the noise canceling headphones to their limit. Let's do it [beep] SEX BY THE FIRE AT NIGHT, SILK SHEETS AND DIAMONDS SO WHITE LUCKY FOR YOU THAT'S WHAT I LIKE, THAT'S WHAT I LIKE. OOH, YEAH [identical] SEX BY THE FIRE AT NIGHT, SILK SHEETS AND DIAMONDS SO WHITE [identical] LUCKY FOR YOU THAT'S WHAT I LIKE, THAT'S WHAT I LIKE. YEAH, OH (sarcastic) Oh my God the noise-canceling singing.

It's way worse. Isn't it?! No it's not... It sounds like I'm singing a little bit louder, but it sounds just as good as the other take to me So I'm going to say it noise canceling headphones. Don't actually make you sing worse.

So now you might say: "okay Roomie..." "...I'm gonna go hate on Gabbie now because she lied!" Honestly though, I don't think she lied I don't think that what Gabbie did had anything to do with noise cancelling But that doesn't mean that there wasn't anything else in play and I think I know what that was: Let me explain while noise cancelling can't take away your hearing especially not the inner hearing of your voice You can actually drown your voice out with even louder noise So I think what Gabbie did was that she put the volume up like crazy in her headphones? And there's actually some evidence of this in her video if you listen really closely you can actually hear a leakage from her headphones in the video And I'm... ...Trying hard to breathe. I mean, I don't have those headphones, but I'm going to guess that if there's that much leakage then you're listening loud So if you want to do Gabbie's challenge, and really hear what you sound like when you don't hear yourself I don't think that you need noise cancelling headphones. I'm sure of it instead Just take any big ol' headphones put them on and crank the volume way up But I don't recommend that really because you can actually damage your ears So if you end up doing it do it for really short bursts like no more than a few minutes at a time That's way the risk is lower that you'll actually damage your ears.

[Imperfect] HOW DO I LIVE? THE DEATH OF A BACHELOR, OH OH OH LETTING THE WATER FALL. [Imperfect]THE DEATH OF A BACHELOR, OH OH OH. SEEMS SO FITTING FOR HAPPILY EVER AFTER I mean, I haven't heard this yet But can imagine that was way worse and like way more like what Gabbie did so yeah? Volume I think is the answer and also now I've made a clip of me singing really really bad that you can share around out Of context mission accomplished with this video Yeah, also. I'm wearing really ugly shorts right now My brother gave it to me didn't want him I don't think that Gabbie had any malicious intent Or anything like that while making this video I just think she went with a flow when he was sounding bad and started doing some silly dance moves and maybe made the singing A tad bit worse for the sake of the video to entertain people, and I think that's fine.

I don't care I guess it just bothered me as a singer and a technology fan that it wasn't accurate that It wasn't actually the noise cancelling with just volume I'm such a nerd rna anyway guys Thanks so much for watching thanks to my amazing patrons you guys are the best I really appreciate your support if you go there you can get free songs and you can get free of stuff There's a bunch of cool stuff gordon check it out. I can't even list everything. I will see you next time bye guys.

Similar to iPhone here. Slide the plastic tool to separate the side of the rear housing. Mind the power button. Take your efforts.

The same on the other side. Need some time to remove it. There is no adhesive. After slide along the rear housing cover.

You can separate the rear housing and the front screen assembly now. Undo 4 Phillips screws. Three small and one big screws. Remove the wire cable.

Motherboard flex. Charging port flex connector. Then you can remove the headphone jack. Separate headphone jack from module.

Be careful not to scratch other components. Pry out the headphone jack easily. Keep the rubber and take it off. Put rubber to the new replacement.

It helps to protect the jack. Put the headphone jack in the right place. And make it fit well. Reconnect two small connectors.
