Visit the BlackBerry App World and search for check register applications. Look for apps that advertise the ability to sync with other BlackBerry devices. Some examples of applications that offer this capability are Ascendo Money, Bankarama and Mobile Checkbook.
2Download the application you choose from the BlackBerry App World. You can also download applications directly from the developer's website if you choose. Your spouse will also need to download the same application.
3Open the applications on your BlackBerry devices. Many of these programs will have a setup process that you must complete. For example, you may need to enter your name and bank account information so that the application can sync to your account. This way, your financial transactions can be downloaded automatically to your phone. Your application may also ask you to set up a pin number so that others cannot access it. You will also have to set up the syncing feature with your spouse's phone. Do this by obtaining an authorization code and entering it into one of the phones.
4Enter financial transactions into your checkbook register program. Some applications will sync automatically with your spouse's program. Other programs require you to hit a "Sync" button after you are done entering a transaction.
Tips & WarningsEnter transactions as soon as they occur. Many people get in the habit of putting off entering transactions until later and then they forget. If you do this, the checkbook register application is pointless.
